Maite  (maɪteɪ/ my-tay) 

I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, which introduced me to all the color that life has to offer early on. I’m a Houston-based designer inspired by everything she sees.

Fashion. Food. Nature. Travel. If I see it/do it/breathe it/live it, there’s a good chance it will spark an idea that makes its way to the page.

My mind is constantly working. If I'm awake (and sometimes even when I'm asleep), my brain is working overtime to find the most elegant solutions for projects I'm actively working on—and also constantly analyzing the purpose and execution of finished designs I see.

I love to work with new and different people; they bring fascinating insight into my world and will almost always show me a new way of seeing things. I believe perspective is everything in life, and being able to see things from all angles carries through in my work as much as it does in my daily life.
